Our 2017 So Far - January

Here are a few pics to show how our 2017 is going so far.

Jack sent us this picture of William, after he said, "Look, I'm Rebekah!"  (Look at the bracelets.)
Lydia got to drink out of the fancy glasses.
Lydia started taking guitar lessons.
I made some hats for Mary Clementine and Poppy at church.
Facebook funnies:

I made this little hat for Millie, the granddaughter of a lady at church.
Lydia's "non-messy bun."

So, a few months ago, we had someone register for a trip to Haiti as "Lion of Peace."  David wasn't even sure how to handle that situation.  We were dealing with a lot of cultural issues with different churches, and David was trying to handle it delicately.

And then, we get these two applications, and David's stomach dropped.  What was he going to have to deal with this time?

Cub of Courage, and Wolf of Wisdom. Then we saw the last name!  Martin Bennett was pulling a fast one on us!!
A little throw back to my art work of New Kids on the Block.
David and Bekah being funny, making a note of when I said I liked one of David's ideas. LOL.
Helping the Rojases finish a puzzle at small group.
Got back into my prom dress from junior prom.

Our 2016 So Far - December

Here are the highlights from December 2016.

Got home from England and promptly broke the handle off the faucet! So, now we have a pretty new faucet.
Here we are just looking good! Could pass up a chance to show off our fam!
A Facebook funny...
The youth went shopping for food to provide to a food pantry.   Lydia and Bekah both got to participate.
Some cute photos of the nephews (and Grandma and Jack).
We took Lauren along to see Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them.  I think they both loved it.  David and I did not.  Ah well.
We played a silly ice-breaker game during our staff meeting, where Dwayne, an avid duck hunter, demonstrated different duck calls and then quizzed us on them. I won!!
All of the Redmon kids had matching crocheted stockings...well, all of them until William made his surprise appearance this year.  So Shelley asked if I would make him a stocking to match the ones the rest of the kids had.  I was happy to do this!
Look at these nephews!!
Lydia's been making some super awesome jewelry with her new jewelry kit and charms.  Just check this out!!

Our 2016 So Far - September and October

Lydia's been at it again with her art.  She's SO GOOD.  This is a Harry Potter piece she's not quite finished with yet.
Lydia's bed and bookshelves arrived and David got them all put together in time for her birthday.  David altered the bed to make it a platform bed over the shelving unit on the bottom so Lydia has more storage.  And she has all the bookshelf space she could want as well.
We also got some wall art to go on her wall as well.  We aren't finished with the room yet...still working on décor, but it's looking so good!
Little Julia Joy Ballard (daughter of my friend, Stephanie) made her debut into the world on August 27...9lbs, 1 oz, and 21 inches long!  Here she is sporting her hat and baby blanket in her newborn photo shoot.
And I couldn't get through the month without showing off some photos of Jayden (who has learned how to SMILE)!
While we were in Atlanta, we took a trip to Plato's Closet - one of the girls' favorite shops, to look for some second-hand deals.

This Facebook Funny is just a little glimpse into what it's like shopping for clothes with Lydia.
Stephanie came into town and we got to meeting little Julia.  Unfortunately, though, we did not get any photos while they were here.  So, refer to the adorable photos above.  Ha ha!
Lydia and I remodeled the bathroom. We took the bookshelf out and put it in the shed.  We replaced it with this bakers wrack from the kitchen.
We also bought organizers to hang on the doors to hold all their hair gear.  We bought new towels and a new rug/toilet cover.  Just a few little things, but it looks so much better.  It feels like a new bathroom!
We lightened Lydia's hair a little.
David checked in with us from Myanmar (formerly Burma).  He's been having a heck of a time.  He started having kidney stone problems around Lydia's birthday. We confirmed the stones before he left, and got some medication to help him pass them on his own.  But it's been a doozy and he's been in some pain.  But just look at this face!  What a trooper!
We did Halloween at the Boyds and just loved their Hamilton pumpkin!
Things have been so crazy this year, we never got around to decorating pumpkins.  and while we were at the Boyds, we left some candy on the porch.  I was so happy to see it almost completely gone when we got home!
