Our 2017 So Far - March

Independence High School put on the play Cinderella, and it was incredible! They had a FLOATING fairy godmother (played by Makayla Boyd)!
Our Facebook Funnies

We brought some fun surprises back from Morocco for the girls, including a Fez from Fez for Rebekah, and a jewelry box for Lydia.
Some cool art by Lydia
Bekah hanging with Rachel Roberts
And I moved to a new office (again) and found this stapler.  I think it's been working at CHS longer than I have!!

Our 2016 So Far - December

Here are the highlights from December 2016.

Got home from England and promptly broke the handle off the faucet! So, now we have a pretty new faucet.
Here we are just looking good! Could pass up a chance to show off our fam!
A Facebook funny...
The youth went shopping for food to provide to a food pantry.   Lydia and Bekah both got to participate.
Some cute photos of the nephews (and Grandma and Jack).
We took Lauren along to see Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them.  I think they both loved it.  David and I did not.  Ah well.
We played a silly ice-breaker game during our staff meeting, where Dwayne, an avid duck hunter, demonstrated different duck calls and then quizzed us on them. I won!!
All of the Redmon kids had matching crocheted stockings...well, all of them until William made his surprise appearance this year.  So Shelley asked if I would make him a stocking to match the ones the rest of the kids had.  I was happy to do this!
Look at these nephews!!
Lydia's been making some super awesome jewelry with her new jewelry kit and charms.  Just check this out!!

IT Internal Audit Bowling

Ever so often, the IT Internal Audit department plans a little "team building" outing.  It's just a chance for us to hang out and stop talking about auditing all the time.
This week, we went bowling and had a great time chatting and snacking.

In the first round, Richard came out as the big winner, with Rob a close second.
For the ladies, Leslie pulled in first place, with Lauren bringing in second.

For round two, Mark was the clear champion, with Richard bringing in second place.
And I finally got in the groove on the second round and pulled in a close second to Leslie's first.
Here's everyone: Back-Rob, Roger, Mark, Richard; Front-Lauren, Kallie, Kristi, me, Leslie, Duane, and Brian.
We all really do like each other.  I'm truly blessed to work somewhere where we get along.  Thankful for CHS.

A Christmas Carol

My co-worker and supervisor, Richard, has been practicing for this huge production of A Christmas Carol, along with his wife, Tara, and daughter, Hope. He invited everyone from work to come see the play.  Tonight, David, the girls, and I went to see the show.
It was absolutely fantastic.  We really enjoyed it.  In the top photo, Richard is the second man from the right in the top hat.  In the second photo, he is the judge (seated, with the white wig).  Below, he is dancing with Tara on the right.  (She's wearing dark green.)

Hi daughter, Hope, was Mrs. Cratchit.
The whole thing was really well done and it was perfect for the holiday season.

Our 2016 So Far - August

Here are some highlights from August:

Lydia got to go to the Williamson County Fair with her friend Morgan. They ate too much and rode a ton of rides and came home super late. So basically, they had a blast.

The girls got the go to the Redmons' annual back-to-school movie marathon.  This year was Lord of the Rings.  To eat, they had peach rings, pretzel rings, onion rings, Orc-eos, second breakfast and Legolas Lemonade.  Ha ha!  Shelley is so creative with these types of things.
In the pic are Summer, Emma, Olivia, William, Lauren, Rebekah, Maddie, and Lydia.

Lydia crocheted her own pencil pouch.  This is EXACTLY the kind of thing I used to do.

Deep thoughts while playing my game.

Jack sent me this adorable photo of GG reading to William.  Look at how patiently he's sitting there listening.  Too cute.

I won a gold ribbon at work.  "Why?" you ask.  Well, I'll tell you.  I won't a contest of matching the duck to the duck call.

In a staff meeting.  Yup.

Now, why would Jayna, of all people, know which duck goes with which duck call?  Well, that's because we had a guest speaker at church who used and analogy of different types of ducks to different kinds of Christians and used a different duck call for each duck.  So, there you go.

I found a new hat pattern and made a new hat for Bekah.  And she loves it, so WIN!!

And here are my Facebook Funnies for the month of August.  LOL.
