Is it hopscotch?

Lydia got a hopscotch rug from Mammy & Pappy for Christmas.
.
Last night she asked us over and over again if we wanted to play "Scotch - Walk" with her.
.
It was so cute. =)

Subtraction
Yesterday, Bekah was using the blackboard in her bedroom at Mammy and Pappy's to teach us subtraction. As she wrote it on the board, she said, "If I have 10 oranges and take away 2."
Then she wrote two lines and said, "Ten, nine, eight...so I have eight oranges..."
Then Lydia started drawing circles on the board and she said, "If I have blue oranges and I take away orange..."
So funny!

The coughs
Lydia has had a little cold and has "the coughs" --- as she puts it.
Yesterday, when I picked her up from school, the after-care program director told me she overheard a funny conversation between Lydia and another little girl.
Lydia coughed and the little girl said, "I bet you got that cough from me."
And Lydia said, "No, God gave me the coughs. He gives me everything."

Match made in heaven...
Check this out...David and I got the same fortune in our fortune cookies!
"God will give you everything that you want."
I don't think that's sound theology, but cool that they matched!
Have a great weekend.

Solid Bathroom Cappuccino Sword Fork
This was the subject line of a Spam email I received today.
And here was the message:
your time is too important
neurobiology, cognitive
you want to learn the
in between sips of a martini
discover
their own passions,
activities
parents and
format designed for the way
Patterns--the lessons
the patterns that
What? Don't get what they are trying to say...

My sometimes exasperating, but always good for a good story - Lydia
So she goes and sits on the couch, naked.
Only, the last time she went to the bathroom, she hadn't wiped herself very well...and she gets some, well, you know, on the couch.
Does she tell me?
Noooooo.
She scrapes it off with her finger and proceeds to try to find an inconspicuous place on the living room WALL to wipe it on.
Of course, not being really good at being sneaky (thank goodness), from the bathroom I can see her and I ask what she's doing. She stands up, and, looking very guilty, shows me her finger.
"What is that?"
Yeah. Gross. Had to clean her, the couch AND the wall. I was SO not happy.

Brilliant message from the helpdesk...
Power went out in our office today. So we get this message from the helpdesk:
We have had one of the power lines coming into the corporate headquarters go out. While...Property Mgt. is working to resolve this issue, they have requested that we please power down all nonessential electronic devices such as computers, monitors and lamps in an effort to conserve the remaining power.
We anticipate that this should be resolved this afternoon, and will send out another email once the issue has been resolved ...
Nice.........
Turn off your computer. We'll email you when you can turn it back on.
Duh.

Photobooth
Going to try to post this scan...we'll see if it works.
This is from the photobooth at the mall on Halloween night. The girls begged me. They didn't have to beg for long. I am such a sucker for a photobooth. *grin*
