William's First Snow
Georgia got a pretty good blanket of snow yesterday. And even though it took Jack hours to get home, slipping and sliding all the way (and even getting in a fender bender)...it's not all bad.
Because just look at all this cuteness out in the snow!!
He's just so precious!!

Missing the Bus
On Thursday, I was on the phone with my boss when I got the following text from Rebekah. My boss noticed I was a bit distracted...
I hopped off the phone with my boss, called Rachel and then Shelley, trying to find someone who was close to the school. Shelley was substituting at the elementary school. Perfect!!
So you see that part where Rebekah said, "Yes"? Well, that's when she started walking.
And there's no wifi between the schools.
So I just kept texting instructions, and she just kept walking...only I didn't know where she was or if she was getting my instructions.
So I texted Shelley and asked her to contact me when Rebekah made it over, since I wasn't hearing back from her. My heart was pounding. It had been a good ten minutes since Rebekah had texted me. And it was FREEZING cold! Finally, I called the middle school and they started paging Rebekah to see if she was still in the building. That's when i get this:
And then Bekah tells me to "kool down!" Seriously! Still shaking my head over this!! But thank God she was safe and sound and Shelley dropped her off with no problems!! Phew!
And the next day, when she caught the bus home, she told Maddy that she missed the bus because her locker was stuck. Maddy said the entire bus thought they were waiting for someone who got stuck in her locker. Too funny!!

Lydia's 5th Grade Portrait
This morning, Lydia got her 5th grade portrait made.
This one was the big winner, and I ordered the main package in it.
And I loved this one as well, so I ordered a collection of this one too.
And here are the rest that I had to choose from.
Some were a little easier to say "no" to, as she didn't give her full smile in some of the pictures.
But some were a little harder, I have to admit.
And it's a shame that this girl just has no personality! Ha!
Because we certainly didn't see any of her silliness work its way into the photo shoot.
Crazy girl!

Lydia's School Photo
Lydia finally brought home her photo proofs from October! I asked her when they were going to come out and she told me they already had...but that she threw hers away because she thought I had already seen it.
What?
But then she found it. Turns out it was deep in the recesses of her room. =)
So this is the photo that will appear in the yearbook.

Rebekah's 7th Grade Portraits
Yesterday we had Rebekah's 7th grade portraits made. I can't even tell you how much it takes my breath away to see how grown-up she is. She's turning into quite the young lady!!
There were so many good pictures taken today, it was really hard to choose which one we should order. But after much deliberation, we went with these two:
These are the ones I scanned in.
These are all of the best ones that we had to choose from (downloaded from the Portrait Innovations site).
For the ones on the tan background, Lydia came in and was making her laugh.
