She chose her clothes all by herself this morning...can you tell?

Lydia picked out her own clothes this morning.

Never mind that it's about 27 degrees outside.

The two pairs of socks she's wearing will cover that.
And the extra short sleeved sweater over her T-shirt will keep her warm...of course.
And her hair had to be like Miss Hannagan's (from the movie, Annie). But she swears that she will be a GOOD Miss Hannagan.
And check out those Valentine's Day socks my mom sent her...with the frilly Sunday socks on over them.
Yeah, I think she's got all her bases covered.

Our Little Animal Conservationist - Rebekah

Rebekah had career day at school a week ago and she had the hardest time deciding what to be.

I think that she thought that whatever she chose was what she would have to be for the rest of her life - that she didn't have the option to change.

I think she was about to be a rock star, but then told us that she wanted to save baby animals. So David suggested she go as an animal conservationist. She loved the idea.

Only she couldn't say "conservationist" so she just kept saying "animal rescuer." I guess it works.

Anyway, here she is in her get-up. Just wanted to share.

I found MORE pictures!!

I can't believe this website! I just found two more pictures of my ancestors. Now if I can just figure out who everyone is in all these pictures!!

The couple sitting in this picture are my great great great grandparents on my grandpa's side. The photo was labeled: Nelson Cline family. The woman standing in the center in the back is Frances Lurella Cline Bolin, my great great grandmother. I'm assuming these are her siblings around her.

This other picture is of my great great grandparents with some of their kids (and their spouses) and grandkids. I just don't know who's who. James Thomas Bolin is on the far right and his wife is two people over to the left. The shortest woman in the photo, in the black dress. The rest I'm not sure about.

And this is my grandfather's uncle, Ernest. I think they have a strong family resemblance.

New Genealogy Photos

Found a cousin online. His great-grandfather (Ernest, the little boy in the front row, far left) and my great-grandmother (the oldest girl, standing, center, back row) were brother and sister.

This is a photo of their parents that I've never seen before: James Thomas Bolin and Frances Lurella Cline.
And this is them later in life. I don't know who the baby is in the photo.
And this photo is of Frances' parents, Nelson Cline and Nancy Elizabeth Magee. Again, one I've never seen before.

A New(er) Layout

I did this layout a couple of weeks ago. I'm pleased with it. Definitely displays Lydia's daredevil personality.

Nothing else to post...

...so here are a couple of layouts...
This layout shows Lydia giving Mom "the look." I don't even know what she did, but this face just cracks me up. This "look" has been passed down through the women in the family for several generations. Ha ha.
And Bekah can make the funniest faces.

Spring Hill Christmas Parade

Okay, so I'm a little behind on this, but I wanted to post some pictures from the Spring Hill Christmas parade.

The parade was right at 5 p.m., so we grabbed some Sonic to go.
Just check out Bekah with a mouth full of tater tots and Lydia with her corndog while adjusting her gloves. Hilarious.
We met Mary, Molly and Riley at the parade and the girls had fun hanging out. (Note: Bekah's really into making bunny ears right now.)
Here are some of the floats.
At the end, they had the lighting of the Christmas tree in the park.

How many kids do they have??? Oh. My. Gosh.

This is my old friend Sarah McIntire and her family.

We just found each other on Facebook.

And this is her Christmas picture this year!

Good night! How did she have that many children so quickly??

Edited later: So I found out from Sarah the names and ages of the kiddos (clockwise from left):
Austin is 12. He is Keith's nephew that they adopted.
Jude is 5.
Olivia is 7.
Elissa and Elijah are 2.
And Sophia is 4.

WOW!! She said they were going for 4, but God saw fit to give them 6!

Nine Words Women Use

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . That will bring on a 'whatever').
(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying Bleep! This message has been edited due to we don’t use this phrase!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

Spy-Mommy

Yesterday, I was in search of some new high heel shoes when I came across some high heel black boots.

I'm still not sure that I can pull off boots, but I was willing to give it a try anyway.

As I was trying on the boots, Rebekah said, "Mommy, those look like SPY boots."

And Lydia looked at me so seriously, sucked in her breath over clenched teeth, gave me a pained look, and said, "But Mommy, I'm sorry, but you're not a spy, so you can't get those boots."
She is so hilarious!

Puke-ills

Tonight, I've been working on getting red-eye out of our Thanksgiving pictures...

Lydia came up to me and said, "Mommy, what color are Amber's eyes?" (They had bright red pupils when she asked.)

As I recolored Amber's pupils black, I told her that Amber's eyes are blue, but that I was re-coloring the middle black, like they are supposed to be.

And Lydia said, "Because puke-ills are black. I learned that in school. When there's a lot of light, your puke-ills get small. When there's not a lot of light, your puke-ills get big."

I tried to tell her that they were pupils, but she preferred puke-ills.
