Lydia brought home the same school picture deal that Bekah did. All these sheets that you can choose to keep (and pay for) or send back. 

I think they turned out great, but I think we'll just go with our own portrait session later. But I wanted to share.  =)

Jack and Courtney's Baby Shower

 This weekend, we took a trip to Georgia so we could attend Jack & Courtney's baby shower.

The girls are really excited about getting a new cousin, and we've been planning their gifts (and outfits) for weeks now.

 

Courtney's friends set up some really cute decorations for the shower. 

I just love this diaper cake.

And Courtney is looking so great!

We played a few shower games, including "breaking water" and some triva/word games.  They were fun and got a few laughs. 

And Jack and Courtney got so many gifts! 

We got them a big bag of necessities, including a baby bathtub, Johnny Jump-up, car seat cover, and shopping cart cover. 

Lydia got them this little newborn outfit.

I made some hats, of course...

including a little basketball hat for my basketball loving brother!

Rebekah got a little 6 month outfit. 

And Lydia made this little tiger for the baby.  Courtney said they'd put it in the baby's room. 

I made a matching blanket and hat.

And the rest of the family got some fun things for them as well (not to mention the ton of things they got from their friends).  The whole shower was super nice and it was great to meet so many of their sweet friends, and Courtney's family. 

Now it's just a waiting game.

And we can't wait to meet little William Tyler!  =)

Blanket and Booties for Little Evangeline

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, some friends of ours just adopted a baby.

Bucky, Kim, and big sister, Ella, welcomed baby Evangeline to their family in February.

This Sunday is Kim's baby shower, but I won't be able to make it.  So I gave her some little goodies that I made when we got together for Bible study on Thursday night. Kim tried Evangeline's baby booties on right away. 

They are WAY too big!  Ha!

She's such a cutie!  We all love holding her at Bible study! 

Rebekah's School Portraits

Bekah brought a surprise package home from school the other day.

School photos!  A whole bunch of them.

They sent several photos with instructions to keep what we want and send a check back to school for what we picked out. 

Definitely a different strategy this time.  If I hadn't just bought Bekah's spring portraits, then I might consider getting these.  They're really good. 

They even came with these laminates.  Bekah loves these...but decided not to buy any.

Spring Hill Kids' Marathon

On Saturday, Lydia participated in the Spring HIll Kids' Marathon.

The kids run 25 miles on their own during the weeks preceeding the race.  Then on race day, they run the final mile of the "marathon."

Lydia got her T-shirt and number the day before the race. 

Of course we had to get some pics of her in her race shirt.  These are our attempts to get a shot of her "in action."  LOL

At the race, they had a waiting area for the kids, with candy, hula hoops, and sidewalk chalk.

Then each group raced by age.  They warmed up first.

And then they were off!  Just look at that big grin on Lydia's face!!

It's much nicer than her last medal.  Lydia was really excited about it.

She's got two more weeks of run club and then she's done for the year.  I'm so glad that she's had this outlet for her energy!!
