We got our family portraits made with Jack, Courtney and the boys.  Here are the ones of just our family!

We even got one with Rebekah and Thomas!

Our 2017 So Far - May

Stumbled across this field trip photo of my 2nd grade trip to the capitol.

Chaperones: Mrs. Earl, Mrs. White, Mrs. Campbell
Back row: Holly Bell, Abi Hunt, Ginny Offi, Dawn Washburn, William Campbell, Shanna Holt
Front row: Little me, Mei Ling, Jared Moon, Greg White, Sarah Smith, Amy Reeves
A sweet letter I found that Grandma wrote to me when David and I first got married.  It's full of all kinds of wife tips.
Now that we got the couch and other furniture out of the storage shed, David set up his desk so he could have a somewhat functional office.  Yes, in the storage shed.  Because we still have a tiny house. (Making it work.)
Some artwork by Rebekah
Bekah started working on this piece. And then I realized that it was an abstract version of Van Gogh's Starry Night!  How cool!
I was able to celebrate my friend, Kristy's birthday.
Lydia went to the youth group school's-out luau.
Bekah made this cool door art for us from book pages.
When we were getting photos of the girls, we grabbed a quick one with Thomas.
And something that's been making us laugh.

Beautiful Photos of my Beautiful Girls

I've really been wanting some photos of the girls together. So I asked a member of the youth, who fancied herself a photographer, if she could take some photos of the girls.
The look so incredibly beautiful!!
And they're so incredibly funny when we try to get a photo of them together.  Since they were little, I have photos like these!
I think these are some of my favorites.
I also wanted to take some individual photos of the girls as well.  But Bekah didn't want the photo to be in the blue dress so she changed.
And then later I grabbed another cute photo of Bekah at home.

Grandma's Funeral

We had Grandma's funeral today.  It was a beautiful service, and the words Jack shared were really sweet.  And it was a chance for the whole family to gather.
While we were in town, we visited some nostalgic places from my childhood.  The Hickory Log, which makes the best ribs in the world (and where Mom used to work as a waitress), and the Dexter Queen (my little hometown's version of the Dairy Queen).
We also went by the home I lived in until I was seven years old. And William got his photo in front of my grandparents' apartment building, which still has their name on it.
And when we got home, Rachel had left some beautiful flowers on our front step.

Promduit - Murder Mystery Party

Our friends, James and Bekah Boyd, put on a murder mystery party every year at their house.  Well, this year, they let the whole church in on the fun and had the party at the church over two evenings.

The theme was "1980's Prom" and we were all over it!!  Soon, the Conduit Prom became known as Promduit, and there was much trash-talking on the church Facebook Page.
Well, on our recent visit to Georgia, I dug my old prom dresses out of Mom's closet, and what do you know, I had the perfect dress!!
So David and I got all dolled up to head to the prom!  Popped collar, rolled up sleeves. Big hair and copious amounts of glittery eye makeup.  And we were ready to go!
We arrived and the church was all decked out in neon and all-things-1980's (including cans of tabs we got from Mom!).
Everyone was dressed to the nines!  And there was just. so. much. hairspray!
We had dinner first - which I had to be careful of, since I barely squeezed into this dress.  LOL
And then it was time for the game to begin.  During the evening, someone on the prom court would mysteriously drop dead, and then everyone else at the prom has to gossip, investigate, and work the crowd, to gain clues of who the murderer is.  You can make things up to throw people off, or you can drop actual hints, based on what you know about your character.  Then you network with the other guests to try to gain more clues - and win the prize for solving the murder mystery!
Suddenly, Gus dropped dead.  His date, Linda was distraught.  So then the investigation started!
In the end, it was revealed that Shelley was the murderer.
And David and I both won prizes!  David won Drama Queen (again) and I won Best Dressed (which I was super stoked about)!
And just like a regular prom, there were stations for portraits with your date.  And this one was complete with a balloon arch.  I'm not sure if we could get more 80's than that!
The whole thing was a total blast.  We had so much fun!
