A co-worker sent this to me today...
This will mess with your head
>>
3 MEN GO INTO A HOTEL.
>>
THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SAID THE ROOM IS $30
SO EACH MAN PAID $10 AND WENT TO THE ROOM.
>>
A WHILE LATER THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK REALIZED
THE ROOM WAS ONLY $25
>>
SO HE SENT THE BELLBOY TO THE 3 GUYS' ROOM WITH $5.
ON THE WAY THE BELLBOY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO
>>
SPLIT $5 EVENLY BETWEEN 3 MEN,
>>
SO HE GAVE EACH MAN A $1 AND KEPT THE OTHER $2 FOR HIMSELF.
>>
THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM,
>>
WHICH IS A TOTAL OF $27
>>
ADD THE $2 THAT THE BELLBOY KEPT = $29.
>>
WHERE IS THE OTHER DOLLAR?

I just became a CosmoGirl SISter!
A friend of mine just started a new website called Scrap in Style. You can check it out at scrapinstyletv.com. The website is all about scrapbooking and people share ideas and post layouts. When I joined, I was a baby sister. But now I've moved up in the SISter ranking (SIS = Scrap in Style). I didn't even know I could do that!! Ha! How fun. It's based on the number of layouts you post.
.SISter Ranking
SISter Rankings are assigned based on the total number of message board posts you have made and the number of layouts you have uploaded. The Ranks chart is as follows:
0 Fashion SISsy
1-9 Baby SISter
10-49 Little SIS
50-99 CosmoGirl SISter
100-249 Stylin' SIS
250-499 Fashion Plate
500-749 Style Maven
750-999 Haute SISter
1000-1499 Style Addict
1500-1999 SISter Elle
2000-2999 Model SISter
3000-3999 Vogue SISter
4000-4999 Big SIS
5000+ Favorite SISter
Either way, you should check out the site. It's really fun. They have a featured designer every month. This month is Kelli Crowe, one of my favorite people to scraplift from.

Baby Jaden
Jaden has learned to scoot across the floor. It's so cute. He lunges at you. I caught a few cute pics while he was doing that.

Darren's birthday party
Here are some pics from Darren's surprise birthday party at Shogun. I didn't get many good pictures because of low lighting, but these are decent.

And then wore it the rest of the day and to the rest of the yard sales.
She's just so CUTE!
And here she is playing in another dress later in the day. The faces she makes just crack me up!!

A new scooter
She was so anxious to ride it this morning. She put her helmet and pads on over her pajamas and rode all through the house.
She's SO excited. I can't wait to get pictures of her riding it.

Not talking to strangers
We’ve been going to this new park by our house lately. It has a playground with a walking track around it. David and I walk while the girls are playing on the playground. Every time we arrive, we remind the girls not to talk to strangers.
“Are kids strangers?” they ask.
“Are kids strangers?” they ask.
“No, you can talk to other kids. Just don’t talk to any adult strangers.”
Rebekah: “What if an adult stranger says hi to me? Can I say ‘hi’ back?”
“No, you cannot say ‘hi’ back.” (We don’t want the girls trying to make judgment calls on which strangers are okay to talk to.) David said, “The only adult strangers you can talk to are policemen and firefighters.”
Rebekah was concerned that she would be rude if she didn’t say “hi.”
David told her that if the adult was a good stranger, then they would understand why they weren’t talking to him/her.
Well, as we were walking around the track, we see the girls get on a tire swing with another little girl. The little girl’s grandmother was pushing the tire swing for them. As we walked by, we hear the grandmother ask the girls their names. Lydia replies by telling the lady her name. When she asked Rebekah, she wouldn’t open her mouth. Instead, she wrote her name in the air with her finger. David and I were laughing. She’s listening to us!! We talked with her about it later and she told us she was trying to do sign language.
Just wanted to share our cute little story.

Some honesty about Mother's Day
First of all, I had a great Mother’s Day. And I hope that all of the mothers out there, who happen to read this, had a great day too.
So, now for some Mother’s Day honesty. These are honestly the things my kids said (before all the pretty flowers and cards they gave me).
I taught Lydia’s class on Sunday and we were talking about what our mothers do for us.
Question: What does your mommy do for you?
Lydia: Give me spankin’s.
Okay. Correction. What NICE things does your mommy do for you?
Bekah gave me a little fill-in-the-blank Mother’s Day card she made at school.
My mommy weighs 20 pounds.
My mommy is 21 feet tall.
In the good old days, my mommy used to play with dolls.
My mommy’s favorite food is salad.
I wish that my mommy could eat with me every day.
I can tell my mommy is mad when she makes a mad face and says all kinds of words.
I love my mommy more than her scrapbooking stuff.
Love,
Rebekah
So, what do think Ms. Shell thinks about the “all kinds of words” I say when I’m mad? Honestly, “all kinds of words”? Not bad words, I promise!! I’m sure she was chuckling at that one!
But, hey! Rebekah thinks I weigh 20 pounds! Not too bad, huh?

Picnic at church
Anyway, it really upset Lydia that the little boy fell in the chocolate and that the little girl turned into a blueberry.
She was SO serious! Poor little thing!!
