Carving pumpkins

We carved the pumpkins tonight. Noah was spending the night and David got each of the kids their own pumpkin.
Ewwww! Gross! The guts!!!
Bekah suggested we got some spoons!
David carved the big pumpkin.
Lydia's masterpiece.
Bekah's masterpiece.
Noah's masterpiece.
Their finished work.
With the candles.
With the candles...and Lydia's has bunny ears.
On the front porch. On the front porch with their finished product. Here's David's finished pumpkin. And here it is with the candle...
I love it!!

Day 3: Cozumel

On the third day of the cruise, David and I took the girls to Camp Carnival and we hit the Dzul-Ha Reef alone.

We got a chance to try out our underwater camera case. It worked really well.
It was raining that morning, so some of the pictures are the brightest, but we still saw some colorful fish.
David grabbed this quick shot of me.
I realized on this snorkeling trip just how claustrophobic I can be. I knew that I had a few hang-ups...like not being able to wear layers and stuff. But when I put on the mask and snorkel, it was so constricting that I had a mini-panic attack. I thought I was controlling myself pretty well despite this until David grabbed my arm.
This made me shoot up out of the water, gasping, telling him not to touch me!! Ha ha!!
After about five minutes, I regained my composure and we were off!
I got this shot of David swimming down by part of the reef.
The fish.
After our solo snorkeling expedition, we went back to the boat and grabbed the girls, had lunch, and headed back onto the island to Paradise Beach.
This was the girls' first trip to a beach.
David showing them the oceanic wildlife.
Bekah swimming in the ocean.
The girls' way of looking for seashells.
They had their masks on with their faces in the water. So silly!
Bekah's find.
Lydia's find.
I asked the girls to pose for me and this is what I got.
David found this pier with fish swimming all around it. So we all headed to check it out.
The girls were little pros, just swimming and watching all the fish underwater.
Here's a quick pic of Lydia and me snorkeling.
A lady on the pier gave us some dog biscuits to feed the fish.
After the snorkeling, we headed back to the beach to build some sandcastles.
The sandcastle building quickly turned into hole-digging!
Isn't she beautiful?
This is a pic of David taking a pic of me from the pier!!
Sandy legs.
Sandy bottom.
Then it was back on the boat for dinner.
And oh! What a dinner we had!
.
The transvestite (which I have so far failed to mention) that was seated next to us, decided to show off her/his dancing abilities when it was time for the wait-staff to perform a little dance number.
Yes. That "shim" (she/him), as we began referring to shim. We later learned that his/her name is Gregory.
That's her/his boyfriend in the red pimp suit.
If you want to keep it a secret that you're really a man, then maybe you shouldn't wear gold lemay stretch pants.
.
Just sayin'.
I was trying to take these photos on the sly...so I was acting like I was taking a pic of David...but really it's of Gregory who's doing a dance move right behind him to the song:
Low low low low low low low.
The boyfriend, who, two nights later, got completely smashed, made a scene in the restaurant, got reprimanded by his mother, and then proceded to sob during half of dinner. Yeah! Quite the entertainment.
I really just cannot adequately describe this couple.
Sid & Marian, who were the couple seated at our table with us, asked us to email them these pictures...because they agreed.
You just can't paint an adequate picture of this.
And, after this eventful dinner, this gorilla greeted us in our room.
