More coupon deals!!!

I got some tremendous coupon deals today that I just have to share.

I loaded ecoupons (electronic coupons) on my Kroger Plus Card before I left for the store by going to the Cellfire, Shortcuts, and Kroger websites. (Click on these names for links.) These come off your total at the register automatically when you buy the item. What's great about these is that you can use an ecoupon PLUS a manufacturer's coupon on the same item! So two coupons on one item! Doubles the savings!

Then I clipped the coupons that I needed. I found the links for these at SouthernSavers.com.

There are links for printable coupons for Halls, GE Lightbulbs, Healthy Choice...you name it. It's there. And it's an added bonus that any coupons that are $0.50 or under will automatically double. So a coupon for $0.50 off will really double to $1 off!

Then, with my list of deals in hand, I went to Kroger and here's what I bought:

The Grocery Game

I’ve been having fun with the grocery game! And while I know that this post will be TERRIBLY boring for some, I just can’t help but share this today.

By using coupons and working the grocery store specials, I’ve managed to cut our grocery bill in half. At this point, I’m still buying things, but not because we actually need the groceries/items I find, but because they end up being free or close to free.

And last week, a challenge went out to the coupon moms to add a little extra in their shopping for the local food bank! What a wonderful idea! (This is especially good since I bought 24 boxes of cereal in a one week period!) When they were $0.25, $0.75, or
FREE, how could I not? They’re non-perishable and will go great at the food bank!

Here are some of the items I’ve gotten for FREE this week:

Publix:

Zantac was $4.59
I bought three for a total of:
$13.77
- 3.00 store coupon
- 3.00 store coupon

Result: a $2.23 overage that I can spend on other groceries!!

Kellogg’s Special K with Blueberries was on sale buy one get one free at $3.89. I bought three for a total of:

Result: a $0.17 overage that I can spend on other groceries!!

Chinet Napkins were on sale buy one get one free at $1.89. I bought four for a total of:
$3.78

- .22

Result: a $0.22 overage that I can spend on other groceries!

Soft Soap liquid soap was on sale buy one get one free at $1.58. I bought one for a total of:
$0.79
- .40 manufacturer’s coupon
- .40 bonus coupon (because Publix doubles coupons up to $0.50)
- .01

Result: A $0.01 overage that I can spend on other groceries!

Pillsbury Icing was on sale buy one get one free at $1.85. I bought six for a total of:

Result: a $0.45 overage that I can spend on other groceries!

And those are just the items I got for free!

I also got the following:
$0.24 – Rice Krispies
$0.19 – Green Giant frozen vegetables (I got six at this price)
$0.25 – Yoplait YoPlus Yogurt 4 pack (I got four packs at this price)

$0.25 – Dove deodorant (I got two at this price.)

$0.01 - Publix oatmeal (it was the penny item)

And this doesn’t even include the deals that I got at Kroger this week.

I figured it up last month. I spent $161.32 at the grocery store, buying not only groceries, but also toiletries, paper goods, and vitamins, but received $502.15 worth of products.

And our house is so packed, we’ve got cereal in the laundry room!!

This month so far, I’ve spent $67.04, but I’ve actually received $366.44 in groceries! That’s a savings of 82%!!!

Okay…so I’ve harped on this enough. But I just really wanted to share!!
