Our 2017 So Far - May

Stumbled across this field trip photo of my 2nd grade trip to the capitol.

Chaperones: Mrs. Earl, Mrs. White, Mrs. Campbell
Back row: Holly Bell, Abi Hunt, Ginny Offi, Dawn Washburn, William Campbell, Shanna Holt
Front row: Little me, Mei Ling, Jared Moon, Greg White, Sarah Smith, Amy Reeves
A sweet letter I found that Grandma wrote to me when David and I first got married.  It's full of all kinds of wife tips.
Now that we got the couch and other furniture out of the storage shed, David set up his desk so he could have a somewhat functional office.  Yes, in the storage shed.  Because we still have a tiny house. (Making it work.)
Some artwork by Rebekah
Bekah started working on this piece. And then I realized that it was an abstract version of Van Gogh's Starry Night!  How cool!
I was able to celebrate my friend, Kristy's birthday.
Lydia went to the youth group school's-out luau.
Bekah made this cool door art for us from book pages.
When we were getting photos of the girls, we grabbed a quick one with Thomas.
And something that's been making us laugh.

Happy Mother's Day 2017

Happy Mother's Day to me!  We celebrated by getting some great family photos!
And also with handmade earrings from Lydia, pretty flowers, and a clean car courtesy of my family.
And then I convinced the girls to recreate this Mother's Day photo with me.

My Two Girls - In Emojis

So, this totally cracked me up, so I had to screenshot this conversation.

David sent the girls a sweet note in our family group chat:

"Hey Girls! Just wanted to say how much I love you and miss you! I can't wait to get back to you! Have a wonderful Thursday and know that I'm thinking about you and praying for you all day!"  And then he sent several emojis.
Bekah responded with one kiss emoji.  Lydia responded with two texts, all caps, with six emojis.  Haha!! Their personality differences are hilarious!

Our 2017 So Far - March

Independence High School put on the play Cinderella, and it was incredible! They had a FLOATING fairy godmother (played by Makayla Boyd)!
Our Facebook Funnies

We brought some fun surprises back from Morocco for the girls, including a Fez from Fez for Rebekah, and a jewelry box for Lydia.
Some cool art by Lydia
Bekah hanging with Rachel Roberts
And I moved to a new office (again) and found this stapler.  I think it's been working at CHS longer than I have!!

Our 2017 So Far - February

I attended the IF Women's Conference.
Bekah sang on the youth worship team.
William Redmon celebrated his first birthday.  He did not enjoy our singing.
Lydia started making some really cool jewelry!  I just love her creativity!!
We got to watch Newsies Live in the theatre.  It was so incredibly cool - almost like going to a real show!

Funny conversation between Mom, Lydia, and me.  Ha ha!!
Still recovering from the 80's prom!!

Christmas Eve Family Photos

When we all gather for Christmas, it's the perfect time to get those family photos.  So we attempted a photo of Mom with all of her grandkids.
Attempted.

I mean, we got the photos, but...
William's faces!!  Ha ha!  He had us cracking up!
And now we try again...with everyone this time!
I think that's about as good as we are going to get!

Our 2016 So Far - December

Here are the highlights from December 2016.

Got home from England and promptly broke the handle off the faucet! So, now we have a pretty new faucet.
Here we are just looking good! Could pass up a chance to show off our fam!
A Facebook funny...
The youth went shopping for food to provide to a food pantry.   Lydia and Bekah both got to participate.
Some cute photos of the nephews (and Grandma and Jack).
We took Lauren along to see Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them.  I think they both loved it.  David and I did not.  Ah well.
We played a silly ice-breaker game during our staff meeting, where Dwayne, an avid duck hunter, demonstrated different duck calls and then quizzed us on them. I won!!
All of the Redmon kids had matching crocheted stockings...well, all of them until William made his surprise appearance this year.  So Shelley asked if I would make him a stocking to match the ones the rest of the kids had.  I was happy to do this!
Look at these nephews!!
Lydia's been making some super awesome jewelry with her new jewelry kit and charms.  Just check this out!!
