Rebekah's 6th Grade Portraits

We  got Bekah's 6th grade portraits made tonight.

We let her choose her outfit and she helped choose which portrait we bought for our package.

Bekah liked this one, and I believe we got a few of these.

She liked this one too.  We bought our main package in this one.

I think they all turned out pretty cute.  Can't wait to pick them up and get them off in the mail!

Celebrating our Anniversary

For our anniversary, we kept it simple this year.  We took a little time off in the middle of the day and caught some lunch at PF Chang's

and the movie Lincoln at the theatre. 

We also got a little something for each other - with each gift truly fitting.  Ha!  I got David a new case for his iPhone. 

And he got me this pretty ring.  Love it!

Valentine's Day!

Last week, while Lydia worked on her class Valentines, Bekah started a new sewing project.

Middle schoolers are too cool to hand out Valentines to their friends.  So Bekah decided to just make some fun pillows for her best friends.

I helped out with the template, and then Bekah set to work.

Our final result:

Collin's Football Hat

My friend, Sarah, just got the six month portraits made for her son, Collin.  I'm loving seeing all of Collin's little hats on him!

In this photo shoot, Collin got to wear his football hat.  How cute it that?

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Lydia's been excited ALL month!

Tonight was the daddy/daughter dance at school.  She's been planning her outfit and her gift for Daddy.

She got him a little box of chocolates.

(He got her some pretty Valentine necklaces.) 

They got all fancied up for their date night.  They both even got new shoes.

So, all dolled up, they left for the dance.

Midway through, I got a text from David:

It looks like they had a fabulous time!

So sweet!

Welcome to the Circus

Snow Day(s)!!!

Well, on Friday, the girls finally got their snow day!! Lydia had just complained a day or two before that there had been no snow this winter.  So this was perfect timing. 

I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I didn't stay out there with them too long. 

Shawna and I did hang out outside for a bit to get some pics of everyone playing in the snow. The whole neighborhood came out to play!!

The girls had so much fun building things, sledding, and making snow angels.

Then, to top things off again, it snowed again Friday night and there was a fresh coat of snow for the kids to play in on Saturday morning.  There wasn't quite as much snow - just enough to cover the grass this time.  So the girls gathered all the standing snow they could find off cars and picnic tables, and decks, and hauled it to the front yard.

There, they were able to make a decent sized snow man.  It's just funny, because the snow man is completely surrounded by grass. Ha!  But he lasted out there for quite a bit.  My girls are quite the architects, I guess.
