Happy Birthday Sammy!

Here's an early
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to Sammy girl!!

Pre-Registration

I just pre-registered for my classes. I'm taking a bit of a step of faith that the funding will come in for me to take these classes. Everyone, please be praying that I am awarded a grant this year as well. Here's what I'm looking at taking:

Spring II Term (8-week accelerated courses):
Document Processing II (the last lower level elective I need)
Written Professional Communication (a business writing course required for my major)

After the Spring II term, everything I will be taking will be for my professional core and leadership concentration.

Summer 2006
Psychology of the Personality
Principles of Management and Organizational Behavior

Fall 2006
Public Relations Research
Abnormal Psychology
Latin American Countries & People

So, if you need to know anything about the professional communication or organizational behavior of the abnormally psychotic Latin American, I'm the person you should call.

Happy Day.

Knock Knock!

A knock-knock joke from this morning:

Lydia: Knock knock!
Mommy: Who's there?
Lydia: Banana.
Mommy: Banana who?
Lydia: Banana MUSTACHE!
(Followed by hysterical giggles....)

Also from this morning:
Mommy, can you tell me a story about Dora and Jesus?

Little Dancer

I emailed Rebekah's dance teacher today to make sure that she was doing okay in her class. She wrote me back: Rebekah is full of joy, she is very respectful and is progressing as a little dancer!

Little cutie! Makes me so proud! Her next recital is in May. I'm anxious to see her performance since she is taking Hip Hop this time.

My girls are growing up!

Look how much change can happen in just two years! Little Lydia is growing up so quickly! Still so sweet.

Look how much she's grown. The first photo was taken right after her second birthday. The other one was taken just a few weeks ago. Now my baby girl is almost FIVE!

I can't believe this!

Okay, so I have to vent. I really cannot believe this. I'm researching some genealogy stuff online and I posted a question on a *free* genealogy forum regarding one of David's family members. Most of the time, someone will reply that they have information on that person because they happen to be researching the same family line. In this case, most everyone is more than happy to share what information they have and I share with them the information that I have. Everyone helps out each other.

But...

I just received an email from this man who listed census information and other tidbits. The information seems very interesting and I will look into it further. But then...

You're not going to believe this...

Or maybe you will...

He ended his email by saying: "Since I spent about an hour of research on this family I would appreciate it very much if you could send me 30 dollars in the form of a check or money order to the address below."

WHAT?

No way! It's a FREE site. If he didn't want to research my family, then he shouldn't have done it. It he wanted to charge me, then he should say, "Hey! If you pay me 30 bucks I'll research this for you." But he didn't. I have never seen anyone do this before. And then he actually listed his street address and phone number!

Oh well...just had to vent. I still can't believe this...

Funny girl...

I have NO idea what she is doing...

We wish you a merry Christmas...

The girls have been singing this non-stop for the past 24 hours. Mammy & Pappy have a Christmas video and they learned the song from there...

Lydia: "We wish you a mewwy KIT-mus and a appy new yee-uh!"

Too cute! I love her little voice.

She Was in a Giving Mood...

Rebekah was in a giving mood this day. She let me take her picture and even gave me a few smiles. She took a few herself, too. These make me smile. She's so beautiful. We are truly blessed with our two little angels.

Just Because She's So BEAUTIFUL

There's really no other reason for this post except that these pictures make me smile.

That eyebrow is SO from my grandma!!

School pictures

Here are Rebekah's proofs from her school pictures. I already bought her fall pictures and I wasn't going to buy the Spring ones. If you'll remember, Rebekah made a froggy smile in her first school picture. But then these came back and she is just so stinkin' cute! I had to buy another package of pictures. I love the one of her crossing her arms!! (David thought I had already used up all of her smiles in all the pictures I've taken!)

Guess not...

WooHoo!! I got my grades!

I just got my grades from the term that I just completed and I am happy to say that I got a 98% in my Document Processing class and a 99% in my Statistics class! I am proudest of my Statistics score, since I was hoping to make at least a C. Yea! I am so glad those are over. My next term (which begins in a month) should be a bit easier...

I love Photo Shop!

My beautiful little Lydia has hurt her cheek. Only, she did this nearly a month ago and keeps messing with it and making it worse! But her eyes are so beautiful when the blue skies reflect in them, that I can't resist taking her picture. And then...Photo Shop saves the day! With a little patience, I was able to erase the bright red spot on her cheek. Check it out:

BEFORE & AFTER:

Here's another one: Before & After

And I bet you can't even tell I made any changes on this one! Just look at those EYES! So pretty!

Still getting the hang of this...

I'm still learning about all the features on the blog. Once I get this all figured out, I'll let the family & friends know that it's out here. But in the meantime, please be patient!! I'm going to try a hyperlink here to one of my favorite genealogy sites: http://genforum.genealogy.com/

Hope it works!!

The World of the Christophers

The World of the Christophers
The girls have really been doing great this week. Rebekah is continuing to get stickers every day at school. David promised her that she could pick out a prize at the toy store if she got stickers all month long. She had gotten a prize the last two months and is well on her way this month as well. I think Lydia is enjoying some alone time to play while Rebekah is at school. She is becoming very independent and wants to do everything by herself, "No. I do it all by myself, okay?"

Okay, I'm giving this another try. We'll see if the font shows up like it's supposed to. Here's a photo of my pink girly girls!!

Here are our sweet little girls. They love each other so much! Rebekah is such a great big sister and Lydia just adores Rebekah. Right now, Lydia thinks that you marry anyone that you love, so she told us that she and Rebekah were getting married. Isn't she so sweet?

I've never done this before, so here goes...my first blog post. I'll probably post a few test posts until I get the hang of it, and try out some different features like font color, etc.
