Lydia's 1st Quarter Choir Concert 2015
Lydia's 1st Quarter Choir Concert took place tonight at Thompson's Station Church.
I know it's a big group, but Lydia's on the second row, just to the right of the soloist and to the left of the choir director. They sang some really great songs. I'm always impressed with their skill level...especially for a middle school choir.
Of course we got a few photos with Lydia's friends. Cassidy and Laura.
And here's Hope as well.

David's Uganda Videos
Here are a couple of videos that David was able to get to me while he was in Uganda. They are so cool, so I just wanted to share.

Homecoming 2015
First she turned 14. Then she graduated from middle school. And THEN she went off to high school. And now Rebekah is going to her first HOMECOMING DANCE!
Crazy!
And by crazy, I mean crazy beautiful!
I just love Bekah's personality. Her fancy dress, her pretty hair and makeup, her fuchsia nails to match her shoelaces. Ha ha!
Bekah, Rachel Pruitt, and Summer all rode together to the Homecoming dance.

I'm so glad she has such good friends to hang out with.
They all look so lovely!! Bekah said when she got home that apparently, the Homecoming dance wasn't a "dressy" dance and none of the freshmen knew that. So it was really obvious who the freshmen were in the gym - since they all dressed up. Ha ha!
Summer grabbed my phone for some selfies on the way to the dance.
And then they were off!
They had such a great time! So excited for Bekah!

Lydia's Birthday Party - A Girls' Night In
Last night we had Lydia's birthday party. She planned it for quite some time - with lots of back and forth - lots of planning.
In the end, Lydia settled on a girls night in as the theme. But she wanted a lot to happen: a bonfire, roast marshmallows, photo booth, ice cream cake, sleepover...I think we crammed three parties into one!
Lydia invited friends from school, church, and the neighborhood. Here are Laura, Maddy, Lauren, and Cassidy holding up our birthday girl.
David built the campfire and we had fun roasting some marshmallows.
Then it was time to open some presents. Lydia got some really nice and thoughtful gifts from her friends. They know her well. She got some Ever After High stuff, including a doll and a sketch book. She also got a gift card, a charm necklace (with charms representing Once Upon a Time characters) and some arts/crafts items.
And then it was just time to be silly.
And, of course, the photobooth. The photobooth hysteria went on for forever.
You can practically hear all the giggles just looking at these photos. The girls were hilarious.
And next, it was time for some ice cream cupcakes.
Lydia was being silly and making faces. She accidentally huffed and blew out the candles. More giggles followed. We relit the candles for another (actual, intentional) "blowing out the candles" photo. Ha ha!
The girls settled in for a movie, and then fell asleep.
The next morning, everyone got ready for church. And yes, Lauren and Lydia are wearing identical dresses! How did THAT happen? Good friends think alike, I guess.
A very happy (giggly) birthday for my girl!

Happy Birthday, Lydia!
My baby girl...
My sweet baby girl...
My happy baby girl...
My gorgeous baby girl...
My spunky baby girl...
My rock star baby girl...
My hilarious baby girl...
My precious baby girl...
is now TWELVE YEARS OLD!
We went to the Chinese buffet for her birthday dinner. She opened her cards there and her presents at home. She got some really great cards, some rings from Bekah, a book from a favorite author from us.
We also got her some art supplies - sharpies, pastels, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, and canvases.
Oh! and make-up! We got her some make-up. Good thing she has a big sister for a tutorial! Ha ha!
We had a great night celebrating our sweet girl!
